Art of Jewelry

After hours of researching, choosing and purchasing your favourite jewelry, or the next trendy accessory, you are delighted just being able to wear them out. To keep your jewelry in tip-top condition, here’s a quick guide for you to master the art of jewelry and extend their lifetime.

Dos:

Clean your jewelry after every wear

  • With the polishing cloth that is given per order when you purchase from us
  • Restore their shine and repair any wear or tear immediately

Use simple solvents to clean jewelry

  • Soapy water and soft-bristled toothbrushes
  • Microfibre cloths to shine, nothing else
  • Note: Do not use DIY solvents or toothpaste

Store your babies in airtight jewelry cases or box

  • Keeps each piece separate and reduce risk of scratches and entanglement
  • Clasp them before storage

Put on jewelry last, remove them first

  • Yanking of clothes may cause your jewelry to get caught
  • Lotions, hairsprays and perfumes can cause jewelry to tarnish or become cloudy

Avoid the sun and extreme weather conditions

  • Colour of your jewelry may be affected by the sunlight, sand and sea

Insure your favorite or priciest jewelry

  • Protects you against damage, loss or theft of jewelry

Remove your jewelry when you:

Sleep

  • Reduce wear and tear
  • Jewelry may get lost in your ears

Swim or soak in hot tub

  • Chlorine in the swimming pools will damage all fine jewelry
  • Exception: Jewelry made of platinum or palladium

Shower or are in contact with cold water

  • Water may cause rust
  • Chemicals in shampoos and conditioners may damage the metal
  • Cold water makes your fingers shrink and your jewelry may slip off

Exercise or work in a physically demanding job

  • Sweat is especially bad for sterling silver
  • Pressure from the exercises or job can cause jewelry to chip or break

Incorporate these tips in your journey with your jewelry and watch your babies glow.
